Daily habits are essential. They keep us accountable, motivated, healthy. They can range from exercise, to nutrition, our workplace, or our schools. But to me, this is the best habit to keep and continue: PRAYER.
Taking the time to stop, breathe, and converse with Jesus. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It doesn’t even have to be a complete sentence. God knows our language and knows our intention. He knows our broken hearts and our frustrations. He knows our loves, what we cherish, and who we care for. Prayer is a time to pause and check in with God to give him those moments and thoughts. Create a space and time to come to God to pray. Even if nothing is really on your mind, taking the time to pause and breathe and know God is with you is very powerful.
Don’t know what to pray? Here are some short ones that I use sometimes and then repeat!
“God help me in this next moment.”
“God show me where you want me to be”
“I need You Lord.”
“Thank you Lord for this day”
“Show me your purpose, Jesus”
