The weather. THIS WEATHER! I struggle this time of year. It’s the in between seasons. We don’t know whether it will be cold, hot or in between. We also don’t know when to put away the hoodies yet!
Sometimes we need to see the signs of a new season ahead. This happened to me the other day. The picture you see is of a cherry blossom tree across the street from me in my neighbors yard. The day was cold and grey and definitely felt more like Winter than Spring. But, this pop of color and beauty reminded me that there is a new season ahead and of God’s creation of life in the cold and grey.
Isn’t it amazing to think that God created seasons to show that there is change ahead. This change can be hardship, beauty, or both. But God is sovereign through it all and remains with us. Look for the beauty in all of the seasons and change.
