About

I originally hail from the Lone Star State, so please don’t be surprised if a “y’all” or “fixin’ to” slips out. Those are ingrained in Texans from birth and are very difficult to remove from our vocabulary.
I’ve been in radio since 1995 when I switched majors from music to Radio/TV because of a guy in that department that was a dead-ringer for Joey McIntyre from New Kids on the Block. (True story!) I worked in everything from country to Top 40 until 2012 when God called me into Christian radio, and I’ve never looked back.
Things didn’t work out with Joey 2.0, but that’s okay because God had other plans for me! I am married to a wonderful man named Jason who, for some reason, puts up with me even after more than a decade of being married to me. We don’t have any children, but we do collect pets like it’s our full-time job. We hope to foster or adopt at some point, and we’d love to run our own animal rescue that doubles as a place to not only find animals a forever home but also provides ministry to kids in the foster care system as they learn the different hardships the animals have overcome to find their way to a new life of freedom.
I have struggled with mental health issues my entire life, and I’m a firm believer that it’s okay to not be okay, and it’s more than okay to ask for help.

Why Project 88.7?

I love the mission of empowering people to live an unstoppable life in Christ! Having a refuge of hope in the midst of the chaos this world throws at us is essential, and it’s an honor that God chooses to use even a mess like me to make a difference!

  • Fun Fact: I am OBSESSED with otters. I have otter figurines all through the house, otter stuffed animals all over my office here at work, and even two otter tattoos!
  • Last Show Binge Watched: My husband and I are huge fans of the early 2000s British sitcom IT Crowd, and have watched it through more times than I care to admit. If you ever tell me something isn’t working, I will inevitably suggest that you turn it off and on again.
  • Best Advice Given: “Your best days are ahead of you.” I was in a dark place when someone said that to me, and despite what I thought of those words at the time, they were correct.
  • Favorite Project Artists: Lecrae, for KING & COUNTRY, and Tori Kelly (that girl can SING)!
