Listen Weekend Mornings 10-3PM

About

You don’t work at a radio station without wearing multiple hats, and I seem to be collecting a lot here at Project. In addition to hosting mornings on the weekends, I also get to work with our awesome businesses and impact partners, and recently signed on as the Digital Director which means I get to…direct…all things digital. I’m thankful they let me write my own job description!

I’ve called Boise home for more than 35 years and can’t ever see myself living anywhere else. My wife and two teenage kiddos keep me busy and when I’m not hanging with them, or at the station, you’ll find me playing tennis, going to the movies, or busting out an overly complicated, strategy board game with some good friends.

Why Project 88.7?

I showed up in October of 2018 to volunteer for the station after I saw the impact it was having on my kiddos. I love that Project is different from anything else offered on the radio. From the music to the mission, Project is reaching people mostly forgotten and overlooked and saying “you are needed, you are welcome, you are important, and you are loved.” That’s a solid message for everyone to hear frequently.

  • Fun Fact: Tennis is the only sport I can play at any competitive level and now I get to coach the sport to new and developing players at Centennial High School! #GoPatriots
  • Last Show Binge Watched: I am currently cruising through Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D..
  • Best Advice Given: Just ask. The worst thing they can say is “no.”
  • Favorite Project Artists: Andy Mineo, KB, PEABOD, Tedashii

Weekend Thoughts: My Enemies

This past week, I was asked to think positive thoughts and pray over my enemies. At first, I balked. Instantly. First, I don’t have enemies. I’m too nice and forgiving of a person. Right? But then right behind that thought, names came to mind and faces appeared. Great. See, the problem is not that I have enemies.…

Weekend Thoughts: Buckle In

I was able to take the kiddos to Lagoon in Salt Lake City, UT this past week and we had a blast. But the fun stopped in the final hour when the major coaster we were going back to broke down and we watched as 8 unlucky passengers got stuck at the very top hill, waiting to…

Weekend Thoughts: A Kairos Moment

Have you ever experienced a “Kairos moment?” “Great question, Kevin,” you may be responding. “What’s that?” I’m glad you asked. Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune time. A supreme, and obvious moment. From the faith angle, it simply represents the right time where God’s purpose becomes crystal clear. It’s a…

Weekend Thoughts: Quitting The “Ing”

My whole life, I’ve “done.” I’ve become an absolute master at words ending in “ing. Writing. Studying. Talking. Consulting. Designing. Performing. Executing. Singing. Reading. Journaling. Calling. Moving. Exercising. Running. Excelling. Creating. Searching. Working. Inventing. …DJing. Man. That’s a lot of INGing. The past couple of weeks, I’ve felt like I really need to drop the entire…
