I’m at an airport now.
As I watch everyone hustling and bustling to and from gates, I can’t help but wonder: what is this person’s story? I know my story– and the reason for my travel. But I wonder about the person to my left, or the family in front of me.
In an airport, everyone has a purpose for being there. Some are headed to their destination for pleasure, some for grief.
I think about our purpose on earth, and how God carves this out individually. It may be to impact our close community. It may be to cast a wider net. All in all, know that God has not forgotten you and that he has a specific purpose for you. Trust Him in that.
Sitting at my boarding gate now I look over to my right and smile the person next to me. I don’t know their story, but I know that they have a purpose for being there. Maybe this is all we really need to know. We all have a story!
