I have had a very tough year. I know, not the best way to start a conversation, but can I just keep it real for a moment? I have had some medical issues, family loss, and my family is also entering into a new season of life with everyone “getting older” (two teens, an aging hamster, and my back hurts). Sometimes the ground (like in this picture) is hard, cracked, dry and seems without life. Sometimes the season of life is this kind of ground.
I’ve been walking on this kind of ground this year.
But, God was walking with me, and He was walking deep. Beyond the surface level of brokenness is soil that can still be useful and life-giving. As seen in the picture, life still grows out of the hard ground because God created it and is growing it. We just need to believe He can do this and trust Him though the time.
If you are walking the hard ground, remember there is still growth happening below the surface!
