Working with people will always present challenges, because we are all flawed in our own ways. We’re wounded, we’re healing, we’re in process, we’re over-confident, we’re selfish, we’re exhausted.
And then, we put on a thick layer of masks to fake it until we make it. So effective. Until it’s not.
As much as I want to crawl back into my cave at times and just do life on the solo, I need people. I need them to love me, champion me, and challenge me. I need them to push me, inspire me, and critique me. I need them. And they need me.
As soon as I rob myself of that community, no matter the reason, I retreat in life.
God didn’t create you and I to exist in a silo. He created us for each other. Iron can’t sharpen iron without close proximity.
Yeah. It’s tough. Most things worth pursuing are. Keep showing up, and inviting this beautiful mess called community into your life. You’ll be better for it.
