Kayne has created a lot of buzz recently. There’s his presidential run. Some tweets – some which were deleted and some tat remain, and the list goes on.
Kim Kardashian, wife of Kanye West, has put out a statement about Kanye on her instagram story here.
I wanted to make fun of Kayne. Since he got up front of the VMA’s and interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, I’ve always seen him as a bit extreme and crazy. It’s just hard for me to take him seriously sometimes.
But then I look at it differently. I have friends who are bipolar. I toured with a girl who had been hospitalized for bi-polar. She was a good friend to me. And I saw life a bit through her eyes. And suddenly bi-polar isn’t as funny.
I mean, I’ve fought the stigma for myself. When I’ve needed help, there’s this little block against going to a counselor. It feels weird to admit I need help like that.
But that’s what keeps us from getting help. From dealing with stuff. When I realized I had a problem with my appendix, there was no shame in going to the ER. I had pain, it needed to be dealt with.
Issues of the brain shouldn’t be viewed any differently. I hope Kanye has people around him to support him and help him get help for whatever he needs.
