John Maxwell is a popular author on business and leadership and one of his better quotes is, “Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.”
Most people hate change. I embrace it. Sometimes, I crave it so bad, I create it. I’ve experienced the value of change and what it produces. A rejection of staleness. An abandonment of mediocrity. A diversion towards something different.
I think the reason most don’t like change is because the something that’s coming is rarely fully defined. There can be a lot of anxiety and fear in the unknown, but when you can approach change with a growth mindset, the potential ahead can explode into possibility.
That’s something worth moving towards every time.
