About

I was born on the small island of Kauai, but have spent most of my life in Idaho. If I’m not working or spending time with my high school sweetheart of a husband and our always amusing son, I’m watching anime or playing on my Switch. I have a deep passion for all things Kawaii and that has crossed into my workspace (or “dorm room,” as Kevin likes to call it).

While anime and gaming are huge, I also love to snowboard, longboard, and dirt bike. There’s so much of life to enjoy so there’s no reason to limit hobbies to just a few. But what I most enjoy is family time. It doesn’t quite matter what we’re doing as long as we’re doing it together.

Why Project 88.7?

When I first started at Barefoot Media Ministries (before Project 88.7 was created), I simply needed a job that was flexible with my college schedule. I had always wanted to be a Pediatric Oncologist nurse because I felt a deep desire to help people through difficult journeys and to help them heal. That has been my dream since I was eight. Fast forward to college years, and the normal honors student couldn’t pass Chem 101, let alone any classes required for the nursing degree. I had a total Jonah moment where I kept running away from joining Barefoot full time, but God kept shutting the door to every opportunity for a nursing career and pushing me towards this strange group of radio people.

When God nudges you that hard you have to listen. And I’m so glad that I did because I learned that helping heal people can come in so many more ways than just in the medical field. It can also happen through good music and human connection!

  • Fun Fact: I’m a budgeting nerd. I check my bank and budgeting apps in rotation with my social media. Jordan (my husband) and I never wanted to have debt in our marriage, so we took a Dave Ramsey class and never looked back. Proud to say that we have no debt despite our Bachelor’s degrees and our expensive son (haha).
  • Last Show Binge Watched: Currently binging Bling Empire. It’s such a hot mess of a show, but I can’t seem to turn away.
  • Best Advice Given: If you find yourself being the smartest person in the room, find a new room to hang out in.
  • Favorite Project Artists: KB. All of his songs are just so good, and he knows how to throw a solid show! Plus his heart for God just radiates in how he treats people
