The 2024 Turkey Drive is one of our largest community outreach events, taking place at all Treasure Valley Albertsons locations on November 12 in Twin Falls and November 14 in Boise. With rising poverty and increased hunger impacting the Boise area, the demand for food assistance is higher than ever. This year’s goal is to provide hope and a Thanksgiving meal to every family in need. The event aims to collect a minimum of 5,000 turkeys, with an ideal target of 7,500 to 10,000, ensuring that families across the Treasure Valley can celebrate the holiday season with hope and dignity.

With many community members struggling, from working families facing economic hardships to elderly citizens and children in need, the Turkey Drive provides a tangible solution. Each turkey donated supports the Boise Rescue Mission’s efforts to provide meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas banquets, food boxes, and assistance to those in shelters and recovery programs. A single turkey symbolizes hope and brings joy to families facing difficult times, offering them a reason to believe in a brighter future.

We’re inviting everyone to come by any Treasure Valley Albertsons on the event day to give the gift of hope. Your donation, averaging just $20 for a turkey, will go directly towards supporting our goal and helping us meet the minimum need. With the event only one day long, now is the time to make a difference and help us reach our target, bringing joy and the warmth of a holiday meal to thousands of local families in need.
